Mecca Masjid:Mecca Masjid is located near the Charminar in Hyderabad and has been so named because it has drawn inspiration from the Grand Mosque at Mecca. This is not only the largest mosque in Hyderabad but also one of the largest mosques in the country. It is capable of accommodating 10000 people at the same time. This imposing edifice was constructed by Qutb Shah and is an important place of tourist attraction simply because of its impressive architecture. A room in the courtyard of this beautiful mosque contains the hair of Prophet Mohammed.

Toli Masjid:This is yet another impressive example of Qutb Shahi Architecture in Hyderabad.

Jama Masjid:Jama Masjid is the oldest mosque in Hyderabad. It was built way back in the year 1597 by Quli Qutub Shah. An old Turkish bath is to be seen within the premises of the mosque. Even from a distance you will notice the imposing white towers of the mosque that rises a few meters from the Charminar.

Chote Hazrat Ki Dargah:Located at Devan Devadi in Hyderabad, this mosque was built by Ibrahim Shah. Its beauty lies in its simplicity and restrained ornamentation.

Deval MasjidThis medieval mosque was constructed by Mohammad Bin Tughlaq. There is a very interesting story associated with this mosque located at Bodhan Taluk in Nizamabad. The structure was originally a temple that dates back to the 9th and 10th century A.D. Later it was reconstructed by the Mughal Emperor. The architecture of the Masjid is indeed admirable.

Jumma MasjidThis is another medieval mosque located at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh that is well worth a visit. Constructed by Madu Qadiri, the mosque is also quite admirable.
