Introduction to Chote Hazrat Ki Dargah Masjid
A rough climb of about 400 stairs would lead you to the Chote Hazrat Ki Dargah in Hyderabad and once you reach the place you will surely understand that it was worth the toil. Built in the memory of Hazrat Ali, who was the son in law of prophet Muhammed, way back in the period of Asif Jahis, the Chote Hazrat Ki Dargah is a popular and sanctified pilgrimage center for the Muslims. There are a large number of Muslims who come here to pray on the 8th and 10th day of the Muharram, an important Muslim festival. Along with the Chote Hazrat Ki Dargah, there is no end to the number of majestic monuments in Hyderabad , all of which has successfully preserved the tradition and culture of this historically rich city. This along with other mosques like the Jama masjid, the Mecca Masjid and the Charminar all reflect fine specimens of Qutub Shahi architecture.
