There are 17 sports planned for the Commonwealth Games 2010. They include: Wrestling, Weightlifting, Tennis, Table Tennis, Squash, Shooting, Rugby 7s, Netball, Lawn Bowls, Hockey, Gymnastics, Cycling, Boxing, Badminton, Athletics, Archery and Aquatics.
The triathlon is likely to be excluded from the games since there is no suitable spot in New Delhi for the swimming stage. Basketball is also being considered to be removed. Archery, tennis and billiards and snooker for men may be included. Although in strong demand, Cricket, may not be included as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is not very keen on organize a Twenty20 tournament, but the organizers don't want to hold one-day tournament.
