During the Baishagu Festival in Assam many musical instruments are used. These traditional musical instruments are used during the dance festival and are known as ‘Kham’, a drum, ‘Jotha’, a Manjari, ‘Khawbang’, the Taal, ‘Gogona’, the mouth-organ, and ‘Siphung’, the flute.
Towards the end of the Assam Baishagu Festival, it is habitual for the people to offer community prayer at a specified place called, ‘Garjasali’.

The Baishagu Festival is generally celebrated by the tribe of Boro Kacharis in the month of Baishak, which is mid April. It is the celebration of the spring season for the arrival of the new year.
