Every Year this festival of Koratty Muthy's Feast occurs on 16 Oct or on the dates around that one. Every year, in the second week of October, the beautiful village of Koratty, in Thrissur district, comes alive to celebrate a feast dedicated to Virgin Mary, locally known as Koratty Muthy.

Description of the Koratty Muthy's Feast

The most important festival in this church is the 'Koratty Muthy's festival celebrated during the second week of October every year. Koratty Muthy's (St Mary's) Forane church at Koratty, in the Archdiocese of Ernakulam is the most revered Marian Pilgrim Centre in India after Velankanni. Millions of Devotee's from far and wide throng to this Holy Place every year. There are cultural performances every evening. The Annual Feast and the Festival - The Sunday after the 10th of October.
