Ambedkar Jayanti
Ambedkar Jayanti, celebrated on April 14 every year is to celebrate the birth anniversary of this multi-talented personality. DR. B.R Ambedkar's contributions to various fields like politics, philosophy and economy is regarded with great importance. However, it is his contribution to the Indian constitution that has earned him utmost respect. He was born in Mahar family and contributed heavily in the fight against social discrimination in India. He overcame a number of obstacles against the norms of ancient society and firmly pressed for a society free of any sort of discrimination.
Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated throughout India to pay respect to the immense contribution to the man towards building a modern Indian society. A number of cultural programs and other activities are performed to ensure that the modern society remembers the contribution of this great man. He is also known as the Father of modern Indian constitution. On the day, many eminent political leaders deliver speeches to recapitulate the contribution of Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
