Mumbai Festival


Mumbai festival is an annual celebration, organized particularly to create a community inspired festive atmosphere in the city. Started in 2005, this festivals shows a unique display of public and private partnerships, where private firms, governmental agencies, related officials and NGO's work with each other. The great thing about this festival is that it is not the work of any one or group of individuals; rather anyone who wishes can be a part and contribute to the events held here. They just need to get in touch with Mumbai Festival Committee also referred to as MFC for approval.

For both residents and visitors on India travel to the city around this time; this is a wonderful opportunity for you to be a part of all the events held here. The festival of India offers a wonderful platform for different communities to showcase their cultures and traditions.

Highlights of Mumbai festival

This festival of Maharashtra will begin on 15 Jan and continue till 29 Jan 2011, where different types of events are held and celebrated. People across all age groups having varied types of interest can take part in these events. Events from different parts of the city from Colaba to Borivili and others will feature here.

Mumbai festival celebrations in 2010 featured Koli Mahotsav; this event highlights the varied integral aspects of the community. Traditional koli and performance by local artists is an important part of the event.
