The lights and the fireworks make the night a worth watching. The main aim of the festival is to drive away the evil spirits from the earth. In west Bengal ‘Diwali’ is also named as ‘Kali Puja’. Crackers, fireworks and candles give a different dimension to the moonless night.
On the other hand this festival is also known s the celebration of the victory of Ram over the king of evil Ravana. By lighting candles and by burning the fireworks people celebrate the victory of truth.
