Following are the various types of visas that are issued depending upon the purpose.
(a) Tourist visa for visiting places in India, meeting
relatives/friends, pilgrimage and recreation;
(b) Student visa for those intending to pursue school
/ college level education (Letter from the school authorities
is required to be attached);
(c) Business visa for businessmen & entrepreneurs
to attend meetings, to establish joint ventures, for
investment purposes, etc. (Letter from inviting authorities
and Letter from the local sponsoring company to be enclosed);
(d) Employment visa for those who undertake employment
in registered firms and companies duly approved by concerned
Ministries in India (Letter of employment, contractual
terms and copy of the registration of the company required
to be produced)
(e) Transit visa restricted to maximum of 72 hours (Onward
journey ticket to be produced).
Requirements
The application for visa to Goa from Japan should be
accompanied by 3 passport size photographs of the applicant.
