In Ahar the captivating cenotaphs or the chhatris that were built in honor of the royals of the Mewars are a must see. Around twenty-two km from Udaipur is Eklingji. While in Eklingji you must see the Eklingji Lake and the Eklinga temple. The latter is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

 

The other important Hindu pilgrimage around Udaipur is Nathdwara. The idol of the Lord Shrinath ji in the temple of Mewar is a must see at Nathdwara. The Pichwal paintings are the other major attractions in Nathdwara. Nathdwara lies around forty-eight km away from Udaipur. At a distance of around ninety-eight km from Udaipur lies Ranakpur. The Jain temples are a must see at Ranakpur. Kumbhalgarh is another place worth seeing around Udaipur.

The wildlife sanctuary and the Kumbhalgarh fort are the must see at Kumbhalgarh. Kumbhalgarh lies around eighty-four km from Udaipur. Then there is the Asia's biggest artificial Lake that is worth seeing around Udaipur, the Jaisamand Lake. While in Jaisamand you may even see the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary and the Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary.
