Windsor Lodge, Ranikhet

Windsor Lodge Ranikhet is located at a vantage point on a wooded hillock with a commanding view of snow-capped Kumaon. The lodge was originally built as a quaint hunting lodge in 1909 in the midst of a forest which then pulsated with wild life. Over the years, it got transformed into a favorite retreat for the British as well as the elite Indian feudal class looking for a pleasant tryst with nature.

The lodge is surrounded with thick pine and cedar forests and is just a few steps from the Ranikhet golf course. It is located in Kalika Estate, in the village of Dadgallia in Ranikhet and is one of the best heritage hotels in Ranikhet. The Windsor Lodge & Hotel today comprises three restored buildings that are let out to the guests.
