Bandhavgarh - Wildlife Resort

Treated as the game reserve of the Maharajas of Rewa in the earlier times, the region was a major hunting ground of animals where Maharaja Raman Singh himself shot a stupendous figure of 111 tigers by 1914.

It was atrocities like these on the vulnerable wildlife on India that forced our authorities to take stringent action and ban the shooting of animals. Bandhavgarh is also known for its population of rare white tigers. The backdrop at Bandhavgarh consists of rocky hills with flattened tops, and valleys with grasslands.

Besides tigers, Bandhavgarh is also home to wild animals such as the Gaur, Leopard, Chinkaras, Boars, Jackals, Chausinghas, Ratels, Nilgais, Dholes, Indian Bison, Hyenas, Porcupines and Jungle Cats. To watch all these fascinating creatures you must tour the Bandhavgarh National Park and stay in the area for a few days. Wildlife Resorts in Bandhavgarh National Park offer the ideal place to stay on your wildlife tour to Bandhavgarh.

A number of small birds can be seen in and around the National Park; the rare ones are the blue-bearded bee-eater, white-bellied drongo, Tickell's blue flycatcher, white-browed fantail, Jerdon's leafbird, gold-fronted leafbird, minivets and woodshrikes. Being a famous National Park, the place has many popular and comfortable places to rest and stay. From lodges to hotels to heritage sites, Bandhavgarh has it all.
