    City Info :
North Goa attracts the larger bulk of tourist that head for Goa every year at every season, from all over the country and abroad. Calangute and Baga are twin beaches and the most popular of all beaches. During the 60s Baga and Calangute attracted large number of hippies who headed straight for the orient and in many cases landed up in Goa in search of the meaning of life as well as some grass. Although little of that past remains today, Baga and Calangute still carry the resonance of a generation that was continuously on the move and on the road. The tiny fish market close to Baga is worth a visit.
