Wildlife in Bharatpur includes more than 350 species of birds, 27 species of mammals, 13 species of reptiles, 7 amphibians and 43 fishes. Macro invertebrates too abound in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park.

The herpetofauna of the park is rich considering the small size of the park. Of the ten turtle species found in Rajasthan, seven occur in Keoladeo. There are five lizard species, including the Indian monitor. The thirteen snake species include the Indian Python, cobra, viper, krait, wolf-snake, blind snake, checkered keelback and sand boa. Some 50 species of fish have been identified.
