INDIA'S BIG FIVE WILDLIFE TOUR
Days 1 to 4: Sasangir National Park [B & L (Days 3 & 4 only), D (Days 2 to 4 only)]
Depart for Diu, flying via Mumbai. On arrival on Day 2, you transfer by road to Sasangir National Park and Gir Lodge for a 3-night stay. Sasangir is today the last stronghold of the Asiatic Lion with some 300 remaining. The area is also home to large numbers of Leopard as well as Hyena, jackal, Jungle Cat, Sambar, Chital, Wild Boar and Common Langur.
Days 5 to 8: Kanha National Park [B, L & D (Days 6 to 8 only)]
Fly on to Nagpur via Mumbai and transfer by road to Kanha, for a 3-night stay.
Days 9 to 10: Pench National Park [B, L, D]
Continue by road to Pench National Park for a 2-night stay. Pench National Park is home to both Tiger and Leopard.
Days 11 to 14: Kaziranga National Park [B, L, D]
After morning activities and lunch you can relax before leaving for Nagpur to board the night flight to Guwahati, via Kolkata. On arrival transfer to Kaziranga, where you spend three days and nights, observing the wildlife in Kaziranga.
Days 15 to 17: Homeward [B (Days 15 & 16 only)]
Return to Kolkata today for a 2-night stay, where you may enjoy a tour of the city. In the early morning of Day 17, transfer to the airport for your homeward flight at the end of your India's Big Five Wildlife Tour.
RHINOS AND TIGERS
Days 1 to 2: Kolkata
Arrive at Kolkata where you will be met and transferred to the Hotel. In the afternoon of Day 2, enjoy an escorted sightseeing tour of Kolkata.
Days 3 to 6. Kaziranga National Park [B, L, D]
This morning you fly to Guwahati, the capital of Assam, and transfer by road to Kaziranga National Park, arriving in time for an afternoon's game activities. Kaziranga National Park, set on the banks of the mighty Brahamaputra River, is the finest place to view Indian Greater One-horned Rhinoceros in the whole of the Indian subcontinent. With nearly 80% of the world's population resident, the park has been recognized as a World Heritage site. In addition to wonderful rhino-viewing, the park is also home to large herds of Elephant and Wild Buffalo. Tigers can also be found, however they are rarely seen.
Day 7. Delhi [B]
Return to Delhi today by road and air. Overnight at a hotel in Delhi.
Days 8 to 11. Ranthambhore National Park [B, L, D]
Catch the morning train to Sawai Madhopur, station for Ranthambore. Afternoon check into hotel. Time permitting afternoon game drive.
Days 12 to 13. Homeward [B (Day 12 only)]
After a final morning game drive you return to Delhi by train. On arrival you will be met and transferred to a hotel to freshen up before transferring to the airport in the early hours of Day 13, for your flight home at the end of your Rhinos and Tigers Tour in India.
