Introduction to Happenings in Nagarjunsagar Wildlife Sanctuary

The Nagarjunsagar Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in the year 1983 and since then, it is the largest Tiger Reserve in India. Apart from being rich in flora, fauna and avifauna, this wildlife sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh has also been a place of historical significance. There have been a number of happenings in Nagarjunsagar Wildlife sanctuary such as eco development projects, protection measures from fire hazards, setting up of protection committees etc.
