The Namdhapa National Park is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, known as the Land of the Rising Sun. The Namdhapa National Park is situated in the Tirap district of the state and the national park is considered as unique for its diversity. The nearest town from the Namdhapa National Park is Margherita which is located at a distance of 62 kilometers from the park. The nearest rail station is Ledo, at a distance of 58 kilometers from the park and the nearest airport is at Dibrugarh, which is about 163 kilometers distant from the park. It is not that easy to reach the Namdhapa National Park in Arunachal Pradesh and this might be the proper reason that the park has been able to retain all its purity.

About Wildlife in Namdhapa:
The Namdhapa National Park spreads across a vast area of about 1985.23 square kilometers. There are 3 important rivers in this region and each of these rivers flows on to join the River Nao Dihing, which is a tributary of the Brahmaputra River. The Namdhapa National Park is the only wildlife park in the world which has different heights at the different levels. At one level the height is 200 meters and on the other hand the height is found to be 4,500 meters. The altitudinal disparity is as much as even 4,300 meters.

The Namdhapa National Park is the place of habitation for various kinds of mammals in the wildlife population. The Wildlife in Namdhapa has nearly all kinds of big cats like the Leopard, the Tiger, the Clouded Leopard and the Snow Leopard. Animals like the Himalayan Black Bear and the Red Panda, which are mostly found in the high altitudes, are seen in the Namdhapa National Park. A large number of rodents are found in this national park like Rats, Porcupines and Squirrels. Some of the other animals that can be observed in this wildlife sanctuary are the Elephant, the Hoolock Gibbon, the Wild Goat, the Mongoose, the Assamese Macaque, the Goral, the Takin, the Musk Deer and many more.
