Kaziranga National Park
A world heritage site, Kaziranga is situated in Assam and is popular for being a home to two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. Nestled in a rich mix of forests and grasslands, the park provides a natural habitat to several species of mammals, birds and reptiles.
Water Buffalo, Eastern Swamp Deer, Gaur, Sambar, Indian Tigers, Leopards, Small Indian Civets, Bengal Fox, Golden Jackal, Sloth Bear, Chinese And Indian Pangolins, Badgersblyth's Kingfisher, White-Bellied Heron, Dalmatian And Spot-Billed Pelicans, Spotted Greenshanks And Black-Bellied Terns, Monocled Cobras, Russell's Viper, and Monitor Lizards are few of the many species of animals here.
