Peshwe Udyan is located close to Saras Baug in Pune. The maintenance of this place is the responsibility of the Pune Municipal Corporation. You can watch a wide variety of wild animals here. Peshwe Udyan draws a lot of tourists round the year. Peshwe Udyan has a beautiful lake within its premises. Apart from its wildlife, this park offers an added bouquet of boating, Toy-Train Rides and Animal Rides. This place is hugely popular, especially among the children. Perhaps, the reason is that this park is a venue for fun as well as learning at the same time. The toy-train ride plays a major draw amongst these tiny-tots. There is also a Play Park in Peshwe Udyan.

There is a history behind the Peshwe Udyan in Pune, Maharashtra which dates back to the era of the Peshwas. At a time when the Talayatala Ganpati temple was built, the sand which came out while excavating the lake was kept aside. Later, the Peshwas planted trees at this place. With the passage of time, when Pune Municipal Corporation came to life, it constructed a garden in addition to a Zoo at this site
