Introduction

Dibru - Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary Assam lies in the Tinsukia district which is about 483 kilometers from Guwahati.
Dibru - Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary Assam covers a sprawling area of 340 square kilometers. The park is divided into seven parts of which one part is wetland.
This sanctuary houses wild animals like semi wild horse and the white winged wood duck. Other animals that you can probably see over here are leopard, clouded leopard, elephant, sambar, Asiatic buffaloes, langaurs, etc. The sanctuary is also rich in its avian life consisting of 250 species of bird life.
Dibru - Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary enjoys a tropical climate with hot and wet summers and cool and dry winters. The vegetation of the park supports the natural habitat and animal population here. It consists of semi evergreen forest, deciduous and swamp forest. The sanctuary is equally rich in its reptilian population with a wide variety of lizards, turtles and snakes.
The park is generally kept open from November to april.
