Blue tiger Butterflies can be seen in Nirgudi Plants, while water frogs are plentiful inside water. A minor Irrigation project is supposed to be launched soon because the Government has already decided on this project. The population of fauna consists mainly of flying squirrel, pangolin, ratel, tiger, leopard, sambar, barking deer, chital, mouse deer, and wild dogs. Threatened by poachers, this region was declared as a Sanctuary by Maharashtra Government.
