Day 1 : Colombo – Pinnawela – Dambulla
You will be greeted by our representative on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to Dambulla via Pinnawela.
Pinnawela is home to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. The original aim was attracting tourists. But Pinnawela soon began a scientific captive-breeding program and in 1984, Pinnawela’s first baby elephant was born.
Spend the night at a hotel in Dambulla.
Day 2 : Dambulla - Sigiriya
After breakfast enjoy sightseeing in Dambulla and proceed to Sigiriya afterwards. On arrival, check in at hotel and explore the city.
Dambulla Rock Temple contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is a colossal figure spanning 14 meters. At Sigiriya visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and its famous frescoes of the ''Heavenly Maidens''.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 : Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya
After breakfast head for an excursion to Polonnaruwa. Come back to Sigiriya in the afternoon and spend a leisurely evening at the hotel.
Visit Polonnaruwa, the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD. At this world heritage site you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath, and more.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Sigiriya - Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Kandy. Check in at a hotel on arrival and enjoy the city’s sightseeing locales.
Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, is a delight to explore. On the city tour, visit the Kandy Lake, town and bazaar, the Arts & Crafts Centre, and the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic. Relish a cultural show in the evening.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Enjoy breakfast in the morning and set out for Nuwara Eliya, where you will check in at the hotel on arrival.
Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. It is a prominent part of Sri Lanka’s tea producing activities. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Nuwara Eliya - Beruwela
Proceed to Beruwela in the morning. Check in at a resort upon arrival.
Leisure on the beach will be your agenda for the rest of the day. Enjoy the sparkling waters and the endless stretch of sand in Sri Lanka’s very own tropical paradise.
Spend the night at the resort.
Day 7 : Colombo
On the final day of the Grand Tour of Sri Lanka, proceed to the Colombo airport after breakfast to board the departure flight.
