History
'Daria Daulat Bagh' or the Summer Palace of 'Tipu Sultan' in Karnataka in India was built in the year 1784. The building was originally constructed by Haider Ali, father of Tipu sultan. It is said that the money to build this majestic palace came from the sea trade that was highly in operation during that time. Colonel Wellesley occupied the place after the death of Tipu Sultan and then later on Lord Dalhousie took some commendable steps to renovate and hold on the essence of the palace. Daria Daulat Bagh or the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan was acknowledged as a national monument in the year 1959.

Description
Daria Daulat Bagh in Bangalore in Karnataka in India is built mainly of teak wood and stands on 1.5 meter high platform. The construction of ceilings, pillars, arches and walls of the palace with teak wood are worth seeing. There are some brilliant paintings done on the woods. On the outer walls of the buildings there are beautiful paintings depicting war scenes and also some portrait paintings. On the inner walls the floral patterns and the geometric designs are beautifully painted which adds beauty to the palace. There are also some paintings done in the eastern and the western hall. The western hall bears paintings of the battle fields and the eastern hall depicts some court scenes and the courtiers. The first floor of the Daria Daulat Bagh in Bangalore in Karnataka in India houses the museum where there are the exhibits of the belongings of Tipu Sultan.
