Climate
The climate of Alappuzha is generally temperate and humid and relatively more pleasant in the winter season. The best time to visit this district is between August - September and February - March.

To reach Alappuzha, the nearest International Airports are at Kochi (85 km) and Thiruvananthapuram (150 km). Excellent road and rail network links the district to all major towns and cities in India. Alappuzha is also linked by boat service through the back waters to Quilon, Changanacherry, Kumarakom, Cochin, Kumarakom, Chengannor, etc.
