Pathanamthitta district is widely known as the `headquarters
of pilgrimage tourism', in the State of Kerala and is
famous for its rural lifestyle, which has duly called
for its promotion by the Tourism Dept. of Kerala.
In fact, the Union Government has declared Aranmula,
the picturesque village in Pathanamthitta district as
an international tourism destination.
Preserved in its virgin state the paradisiacal view
of this village is the elixir of life. Fragrant with
its rural life, Aranmula's tranquil setting is unblemished
by modernity. The centuries old Sree Parthasarathy Temple
located at the heart of the heritage village is its
soul and dates back to the times of Mahabharata.
Pathanamthitta also known as Town of Gods is among
one of the 14 districts of Kerala.
