There are two kinds of Churches in Kerala. They are classified in to Catholic and Non Catholic Churches. The Latin Catholic Church which is for the Catholics is also visited by a number of tourists. The interiors of this church in Alappuzha are intricately designed with a number of sculptures.
A special prayer called Novena is held in the Latin Catholic Church every Tuesday. If you have any secret wishes your desires then attend the special prayer during Novena and you can fulfill them.
Recently the Latin Catholic Church is being renovated as it was decaying due to the passage of time. It will soon don its new look and be the center of Christmas celebrations and Easter gatherings.
