The Third Airtel India Golf Tournament which was Delhi’s largest amateur Golf Tournament was held at the Qutub Golf Course in Delhi from 29th November 07 to 2nd Dec 07. A major highlight of the Airtel India Golf Festival of 2007 was the presence of one of the leading International Golf coaches, Claude Harmon of America. Harmon has worked with Butch Harmon Golf Academy that was responsible for training Tiger Woods, World’s No 1 Golfer and has also been an integral member of the Butch Harmon Golf Academy. The tournament was a four member team tournament with each player playing 18 holes on any one of the four days of the event. A special junior golf clinic was also arranged by Claude Harmon at the driving range for youngsters and their parents to avail the rare opportunity to meet the India’s finest players and share secrets of success with them. Prizes are given on the basis of daily individual performances as well as for teams.
The Qutub Golf Course named after the Historic Monument of Qutub Minar is located at the Press Enclave Road in New Delhi. It is an 18 hole Golf Course and is an ideal Golf Course for beginners and handicappers. The beautiful monument of Qutub Minar forms its background.
