Day 07: Tezpur
In the morning cruise to Tezpur. After lunch visit the 6th century Da Parbatia Temple ruins. Explore the town by cycle rickshaw and visit Cole Park and the bungalow of Alexander Bruce

Popular toueist locales in Tezpur include Da Parbatia Temple ruins, Cole Park, the bungalow of Alexander Bruce Agnigarh hill, Ouguri Hill, Nameri national Park, and Mahabhairab Temple.

Day 08: Ganesh Pahar
Cruise upstream enjoying the hills and tea gardens on the riverbank. Stop at Ganesh Pahar, a charming hill.

Ganesh Pahar is one of the most scenic hills in Assam. There are many tea gardens on this hill.

Day 09: Guwahati
Reach Guwahati and explore the city.

Climb up to the beautiful Aswaklanta Temple on the hill above before driving to the temple ruins of Madan Kamdev. Madan Kamdev is an enigma, a mystery, a marvel which speaks about the ancient Kamrup.

Stay on board overnight.

Day 10: Guwahati - Sualkuchi - Hajo
Visit Kamakhya Temple, Commonwealth War Graves, the museum and the bazaars. Also enjoy a visit to Sualkuchi before lunch followed by a visit to Hajo.

Sualkuchi is famous for its silk weaving workshops that transfrom cocoon into exquisite saris and dress lengths. Hajo in Assam is a religious center where three major religions of India meet. These include Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism. Hajo is also renowned for its bell metal work.

Day 11: Departure Transfer
On the last day of the trip, enjoy a walk through the silk village Sualkuchi to see the various processes of silk production. Finally you will be transferred to the airport for departure.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Dibrugarh
On arrival at Dibrugarh airport you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to Dikhhou Mukh to board the cruise ship.

The city of Dibrugarh is the gateway to the three major tea producing districts of Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat. Due to this reason Dibrugarh is also known as the Tea city of India.

Stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 02: Sibsagar
In the morning visit Sibsagar and explore its temples. Return to the ship for lunch and cruise to Majuli Island.

Sibsagar, once the capital of the Kings of Assam, boasts of a splendid amalgamation of Indian and Southeast Asian culture and architecture.

Stay on board overnight.

Day 03: Majuli
Reach Majuli Island in the morning and visit the monastery at Kamalbari and the tribal museum at Auniati. Enjoy a typical tribal lunch of the Missing community in a stilted bamboo hut followed by a dance performance at Kamalabari.

Majuli Island, the largest river island in Asia is home to awe inspiring Hindu monasteries. View several rare and endangered avifauna species including migratory birds that arrive in the winter season. Tourist hotspots in Majuli are monastery at Kamalbari, the tribal museum at Auniati.

Day 04: Kaziranga
This morning enjoy a short visit to the tribal village at Jmuguri. After lunch set out for Kaziranga National Park.

Kaziranga is a National Park and the only natural habitat of one horned rhinoceros in the world. One can watch rare Bengal Floricas, Tigers, Wild Elephants, Sambars, Swamp Deers, Hog Deers, Wild Pigs and other such species.

Day 05: Vishnath
In the morning arrive at the little temple town of Vishnath. Later cruise down to moor at Silghat. You will enjoy a safari through western range of Kaziranga National Park.

Vishnath is an important place in regard to the history of Assam as it is home to the Shiba Temple of Ahoms - the erstwhile rulers of Assam. Silghat is a delightfully serene place to roam around. Kaziranga's western range will enchant all wildlife enthusiasts.

Day 06: Kaziranga
Enjoy an early morning elephant ride to Kaziranga's central range. After breakfast, walk through a tea garden and the tribal village Missing. In the afternoon, visit the eastern range of Kaziranga.
