Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Guwahati - Sualkuchi
On Arrival at Guwahati airport you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to Sualkuchi, the silk village. Later board the RV Charaidew, your cruiser.
Sualkuchi is a splendid silk town of Assam and produces quality silk. At Sualkuchi, take a tour of weaving workshops to understand the process of silk manufacturing.
Stay overnight on board.
Day 02: Tarabari Ghat - Manas
In the morning set out for Tarabari Ghat to visit the Manas National Park.
See furry friends such as Assam Roofed Turtle, Hispid Hare, Golden Langur and Pygmy Hog, which are not found elsewhere in the world. The park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been named after the Manas River that flows through the national park.
Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 03: Sri Surya Prahar
In the morning enjoy an elephant ride across the Manas National Park. After breakfast embark on an excursion to Sri Surya Prahar.
Known as the picture gallery of archaeological ruins, the Surya Prahar Ruins are a fine blend of temples depicting the three cults of Hinduism - Shaivism, Vaishnavism and Shakti. It also has many rock - cut beautiful figures of Shiva, Goddess Manasa and Durga.
