A joint venture of the Rajasthan Tourist Development Corporation (RTDC) and the Indian Railways, Heritage on Wheels is a luxury tourist train designed on the lines of the Palace on Wheels. Running on meter gauge en route the vast and unexplored stretches of Bikaner and Shekhawati - Heritage on Wheels provides an excellent opportunity to explore the rugged beauty and rich heritage of Rajasthan amidst sheer luxury and opulence. The journey starts from Jaipur station every Tuesday and Friday, and ends at the same station on Friday/Monday respectively.

Day 01 - Tuesday/Friday
Report for Check-in at Jaipur Railway Station: 18.30 hrs.
Departure for Bikaner: 19.30 hrs.
Dinner on Board: 20.00 hrs.

Surrounded by rugged hills on three sides, Jaipur - the capital city of the state of Rajasthan finely exemplifies the character of the state and its people. Popularly referred as the 'Pink City', Jaipur is home to numerous palaces and forts, namely Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort, etc.

Departure for Sightseeing of Junagarh Fort in Bikaner: 08.30 hrs.
Departure for Haat: 11.00 hrs.

Arrival at Lalgarh Palace for Tea: 16.15 hrs
Built by Maharaja Ganga Singhji as a tribute to his father Raja Lal Singhji - Lalgarh Palace is one of the major tourist sites in Rajasthan. This red sandstone building features intricate latticework and filigree, massive courtyards and ornate marble pillars.

Arrival at Tal Chhapar followed by local sightseeing of Tal Chhapar Sanctuary: 07.30 hrs
Departure for Ramgarh: 09.00 hrs.
Arrival at Ramgarh: 11.00 hrs.
Departure for Sightseeing of Ramgarh: 11.15 hrs.
Sightseeing of Ramgarh Havelis: 11.30 hrs.

A semi arid region lying in the northeastern part of Rajasthan - Shekhawati has special historical significance. The towns of Shekhawati are renowned for housing painted havelis bearing frescoes depicting gods, goddesses, animals, and life history of Lords Rama and Krishna. Also referred as the "Open Art Gallery of Rajasthan", Shekhawati is home to the largest concentration of frescoes in the world.
