The erstwhile capital of the Cholas, Tanjore is renowned for its historic temples and exquisite paintings. Visit the famous Brihadeeswarar Temple that houses a colossal Shiva lingam and a stone sculpture of the Nandi Bull.

Day 08: Pondichery - Mahabalipuram / Kanchipuram
After an early breakfast enjoy sightseeing in Pondicherry. Later drive to Mahabalipuram and check in at a hotel upon arrival.
Pay a visit to Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville - an ideal township dedicated to human unity. The serene environs evoke a divine feeling and are sure to soothe your mind completely.
Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 09: Mahabalipuram - Chennai
In the morning embark on a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.
At Mahabalipuram, visit the Dravidian-style Shore Temple, the Five Raths, Arjuna's Penance and Tiger Cave. Once at Kanchipuram, explore the famous Kailasanthar Temple, Ekambareshwarar Temple, Vardarajanperumal Temple and the Sakiswarar Temple.
Proceed for Chennai in the evening. Check into hotel upon arrival to spend the night.
Day 10: Chennai
Enjoy an early breakfast and explore Chennai.
Chennai is a heady mix of historical splendor, natural beauty and modernity. The tourist attractions in Chennai are Fort St. George, St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery. In the evening, we will organize an exclusive classical dance performance for you.
Retire to the hotel for night stay.
Day 11: Chennai - Departure
Your enchanting South India Museum and Architecture Tour ends today. Transfer to the airport to board a flight for your next destination.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Mumbai
Our representative will meet you upon arrival at Mumbai airport and transfer you to the hotel for check in.
Mumbai - the capital city of Maharashtra is considered the commercial and entertainment capital of India. A tourist destination par excellence, Mumbai attracts visitors from around the world. The city is also home to India's much acclaimed film industry - Bollywood.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Mumbai
Full-day sightseeing tour of Mumbai after early breakfast.
Enjoy the famous Elephanta Caves, Prince of Wales Museum and the famous Hanging Gardens, also known as Ferozeshah Mehta Garden. Other tourist attractions include the Gothic Victoria Terminus, High Court and Mahalaxmi Temple.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Mumbai - Madurai
Spend an idyllic morning relaxing by the poolside at your hotel. Later board a flight to Madurai.
Spend the night at hotel.
Day 04: Madurai
Have early breakfast and proceed for sightseeing trip.
Visit Meenakshi Temple, Mariamman Teppakulam (Great Tank), and the Palace of Tirumalai Nayak.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Madurai - Chettinad - Madurai
Enjoy an excursion to Chettinad - the land of Heritage and Devotion.
Known for its artistic houses, Chettinad is located in the Sivaganga District of Tamil Nadu. Spend the afternoon exploring the Chettinad Palace and other monuments around.
Return to Madurai hotel for night stay.
Day 06: Madurai - Trichy
Drive to Trichy or Tiruchirapally after breakfast. Check into hotel upon reaching.
Indulge in a sightseeing tour of Trichy in the afternoon and visit the Rock Fort, Sri Ranganathaswamy and Jambukeshwara Temples.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Trichy - Pondichery
Today morning we will drive you to Pondicherry via Tanjore.
