Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Cochin (35 km-1 hrs)
On the first day, as you arrive at the airport or at the railway station you will be received and immediately transferred into the hotel in the conveyance arranged by the tour operator. Then you are allowed a break till lunch after which you will be taken across the Cochin Harbour. As you arrive at Fort Cochin, take off for a sight seeing tour covering the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, etc. Then return to take rest for the remaining part of the day and enjoy the leisure. Spend the night in Cochin
Day 02: Cochin - Munnar (150 km-4.5 hrs)
Take a grand breakfast at the hotel and check out to set off on a fascinating journey to Munnar. On your way to your destination enjoy the stunning view of the Cardamom hills & greenery of the tea plantations. When you reach Munnar check in at Hotel/ Resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure to relieve the exertion of the tiresome journey. you can also relieve yourself by trekking around the estate. Then have an overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar
Next morning set out early in the morning to visit the Eravikulam National Park. See the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr and then visit the Mattupetty Dam & Dairy Farm, Old Munnar Town, the town market. Go back to the hotel and take rest for the day. Have an overnight stay at the hotel
Day 04: Munnar - Thekkady (120 km-4 hrs)
On the fourth day you will be somewhat busy. Take a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, check out and set off for the wildlife sanctuary at Periyar/ Thekkady and check in at the Hotel/Resort there. At the evening go on an evening game viewing cruise on the Periyar Lake and see a large variety of wild animals like elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boar etc, and some exotic birds. Now it's time to return to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Thekkady - Kumarakom (30 Km-1 hrs)
Take the morning breakfast at the hotel and move out for Kumarakom. On reaching there check into a resort at the bank of the Vembanand Lake and enjoy life to the fullest.
