Golden Chariot Saloons
The eleven luxurious coaches are well furnished and air conditioned. The décor comprises architectural carvings inspired by the work of art manifested in the 12th century Hosalya Temple. The coaches are interconnected and there are as many as 44 cabins that are air conditioned. The train has double bedded cabins (17), twin bedded cabins (26) and one cabin only for the disabled (physically challenged).
Each cabin assures a comfortable stay and is equipped with a wardrobe, LCD television, vanity desk, private washroom with toiletries, and electric sockets for rechargeable batteries.
Facilities on board Golden Chariot
The train offers a wide range of services and facilities and they include:
- Two dining coaches- The decoration of these coaches are inspired by the Halebid and Hampi temples architecture. The 2 dining cars are known as Nala and Ruchi
- Regardless of the place you are, if you can steal few moments from your busy schedule for a fitness regime, it really pays off. So, even as you are enjoying the scenes from the train, spending sometime at the spa and gymnasium is sure to help you unwind and relax. The 2 massage rooms offer ayurvedic and traditional massage therapies.
- Bar-on Board – The Bar Lounge is called Madira. The décor resembles Mysore Palace.
