The Deccan Odyssey

The Deccan Odyssey happens to be the second luxury train to be introduced in India following the success of Palace on Wheels to promote tourism in Rajasthan. This luxury train is a joint initiative of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and Indian Railway. The train offers weeklong tour across destinations in Maharashtra along with 2 days halt in Goa. The train traverses the fascinating Konkan Coast and scenic Western Ghats as it travel to Sindhudurg, Goa, Vasco, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Ajanta Caves, Nashik and Mumbai.
