Kalari Massage
It is a combination of Chavutti Thirummu and Synchronized massage. In Chavutti Thirummu, the therapist uses one of his feet to massage while holding on to a string while the Synchorized massage is a fully body massage done by two therapists. Kalari Massage is performed by two therapists, who are experts in Kalari. Kalari is the martial art of Kerala. The massage stimulates energy points and relieves body aches.
Sirodhara
Medicated oils are poured in the form of a stream on the forehead and onto the scalp as therapeutic head massage is performed. It is one of the most popular Ayurvedic therapies. The therapy enhances mental relaxation and cools the head.
Head, Neck, Shoulder and Back Massage
The therapist uses special massage oil over the head, neck and shoulders in a rhythmic motion.
Udvarthanam
It is basically herbal powder massage that is performed in upward motion. This massage improves blood circulation and reduces numbness in the limbs.
Sirovasthi
Lukewarm herbal oil is poured into a cap fitted on the head for 20-45 minutes. The treatment is useful for treating nervous disorders like hemiplegia and quadriplegia.
Some other Ayurvedic treatments include Lepam, Nethra Tharpanam, Pathra Podala Swedam, Pizhichil, Urovasthi and Panchakarma.
