Detailed Itinerary
Day - 01 - Arrive Cochin
Our representative receives you at Cochin Airport and escorts you to the hotel. Unwind yourself in the picturesque 'port city', enjoying the Harbor Cruise in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day - 02 - Cochin Curry Tour
After breakfast, leave for Spice and Fish Market where you can savor authentic aromatic flavors from Kerala. Once you have relished everything to your heart's content, it is time to try your hand at cooking. Get the first-hand experience of preparing exclusive Kerala specialties. Watch a live demonstration and then follow it practically by cooking exotic seafood Indian dishes all by yourself! Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day - 03 - Cochin - Periyar
Post-breakfast drive to Periyar, a picturesque resort enveloped with tranquility. Enjoy the aromatic fragrance of spice, tea and cardamom plantations at Cardamom Hills en route. Transfer to Spice Village upon arrival. Refresh yourself for a boat safari at noon in the serene Periyar Lake while enjoying the antics of rare birds and animals at Periyar National Park. The tour continues with a stroll through Spice Village followed by a practical cooking demonstration using traditional flavorsome spices. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day - 04 - Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast, leave for Kumarakom, a scenic locale lying on the banks of the gorgeous Lake Vembanad. A short boat ride through the lake takes you to Coconut Lagoon, a picturesque resort built from 'Tharwad' - traditional homes in Kerala. Flanked by lush greenery and tranquil environs, the resort upholds eco-friendly principles. Upon arrival, you are taken for a live demonstration on "Conquering the Coconut". Enjoy plucking huge coconuts and learn de-husking, breaking and grating them to prepare mouthwatering dishes. End the day with a relaxing 'Sunset Cruise' on a traditional rice boat while you gaze at the splendor of a picture-perfect locale. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day - 05 - Kumarakom
Leave for a post-breakfast tour through a nearby farm where you could be lucky to do fishing yourself or simply enjoy watching it from a distance. Mid-noon is time again for some practical lessons on cooking. Learn to prepare exclusive Kerala seafood specialties with a live demonstration and follow it with a hands-on trial yourself. Evening return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day - 06 - Kumarakom - Mararikulam
Early morning boat ride through Lake Vembanad to Puthenangadi. Marari Beach, a picturesque fishing village, is a short drive from here. Upon arrival, you have the whole day to have fun at the resort flanked by lush palm groves and soft sandy beaches. Take a splash in the cool waters of the pool, enjoy a game of tennis, indulge in a host of water sport activities or simply relax with Ayurvedic massages/oil baths at Marari Beach Resort.
Day - 07 - Mararikulam - Cochin
Check out from hotel and drive to Cochin. Upon arrival, proceed to Airport to board flight for onward destination or back home.
