Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Chennai Arrival
Reach Chennai, where our representative will meet you and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is kept for rest and relaxation.
Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram
Day two is scheduled for a whole day trip in the city. See the various attractions of the city including Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.
Day 3 : Chennai - Pondicherry
The day starts with an early breakfast after which,you will be moved to Pondicherry. It is about 170 km from Chennai to Pondicherry.Reach Pondicherry in the afternoon and after lunch go for a half day sight seeing tour of the city.
Day 4 : Pondicherry - Swami Mailer
Start early from Pondicherry to Swami Mailer, which is an ethnic village resort. The drive is about 166 Km. En-route visit Chidambram and Gangaikonda Cholapuram.
Day 5 : Swami Malai - Tanjore - Trichy
On day five, take a trip from Swami Mailer to Trichy, enroute Tanjore. Start early drive to Trichy, which is 91 km from Swami Mailer, and visit Tanjore Temple en route. Arrive Trichy in the afternoon and check in at the pre booked hotel. After some rest, visit Srirangam and Rock Fort.
Day 6 : Trichy - Madurai
Today, you will drive from Trichy to Madurai, which is located at a distance of about 142 km from Trichy. Reach by afternoon, check in at a hotel and after some rest go for a sight seeing tour of Madurai.
Day 7 : Madurai - Rameshwaram or Kodaikanai
The seventh day is kept for a whole day of sight seeing in Madurai. You can choose to visit an excursion either to Kodaikanal or Rameshwaram.
Day 8 : Madurai - Kanya Kumari - Kovalam
Start in the morning from Madurai to Kanya
Kumari (Cape Comorin), the meeting point of three oceans and the last end of India.
The distance is about 285 km.
Day 9 : Kovalam
The day is kept at leisure to see the various sights and scenes at Kovalam, including the beautiful beaches.
Day 10 : Kovalam - Periyar
On the tenth day of your tour, start for Periyar early in the morning. The distance is about 276 km. Reach Periyar in the afternoon and check into a hotel. After some rest, go for a boat cruise on lake Periyar to view wildlife.
Day 11 : Periyar - Kottayam
Drive to Kottayam backwaters from Periyar, which is about 115 km drive from Periyar and check into a Kettuvalom (Houseboat). Sail through the day and even spend the
night on boat.
Day 12 : Alleppey - Cochin
Sail to Alleppey in the houseboat, reach in the afternoon and check out of the houseboat. After a wholesome meal proceed to Cochin, a 56 km drive from Alleppey.
Day 13 : Cochin
Go for a sight seeing tour in the morning to see the beautiful attractions of Cochin. The evening is kept free to see a wonderful Kathakali Dance performance in a theatre.
Day 14 : Cochin - Ooty
Drive to Ooty, which is at a distance of about 280 km from Cochin. Reach and check in a hotel and the remaining day is at leisure.
Day 15 : Ooty - Coonoor
Take a full day sight seeing tour of Ooty and also visit Coonoor. Overnight stay at Ooty.
Day 16 : Ooty - Departure
On the last day of the tour, you will be transferred to the nearest airport to catch your homebound onward flight. The tour ends here.
