Tourism in Mizoram India

Mizoram, on the southernmost corner of the northeast, is Christian dominated state. the most ideal season to visit Mizoram is during the winters. Tamdil Lake is the largest lake of the state and ideal place for picnic. It is a rich source of fishes and prawns. The adventure loving people can venture into the dense growth of the tropical evergreen forests and bamboo. You may spot a variety of wildlife Bear, Deer and the Wild Pig.

Vatawng Waterfalls on the Lau River are the tallest waterfall of Mizoram. They fall from the height of 750 ft. The setting of bamboo groves and lush green forests makes the beauty of the waterfalls more splendid. the boating and angling facilities are available at the spot.

Phawngpui or the Blue Mountain is the highest peak of Mizoram with a height of 2157 m. It is very close to the border of Myanmar. The trekking through the slopes of the mountain presents a perfect view of the Chimtuipui River and the vegetal growth of the Bamboos, orchids and rhododendron. If you love to watch butterflies, this is the place to watch them in infinite colors. the villages that can be visited from here are Saga and Asia. Nearby Asia is the Lake Palak well-known fishing spot of the area.
