Shivani Temple

Shivani Temple, Kanker is also known as Shivani Maa Temple. It is believed that the Goddess in this temple is a combination of two Goddesses, namely Durga Maa and Kali Maa. The beautiful city of Kanker is a municipality in the Kanker District. Kanker District is located in the southern region of Chhattisgarh. The five rivers that flow through the district include Hatkul River, Mahanadi River, Turu River, Sindur River and Doodh River. The district's economy is based on agriculture. The area's main crop is Rice, the other important crops being sugar cane, chana, wheat, bhutta, Moong, Tilli and Kodo.

There are only two instances of this idol in the world. One is here in Kanker and the other one is in Kolkata. The Shivani Temple in Kanker in India is famous for holding the Navarathri festival. Thousands of tourists from all over the world and from all across India visit Kanker during this festival.
