The beautiful pink city Jaipur is a sought after destination in India. Jaipur was founded in 1727 AD by king Sawai Jai Singh and designed by Bengali architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. Known as the only planned city of its time, Jaipur is rich with an innumerable number of heritage forts and palaces built during the royal age. All these Forts and Palaces portray the rich traditions and culture of the colorful state of Rajasthan.

Jaipur has some stunningly beautiful forts and palaces, which are places of great attraction for tourists coming over to Jaipur. Some such forts and palaces include The City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Jaigarh, Nahargarh and Jal Mahal. The tourists really enjoy the grandeur and majesty of these monuments and heritage buildings. Jaipur also has many gardens, temples and other interesting places of interest that lure the tourists from all over.

Amer Fort: is situated at a short distance of 11 km from Jaipur at the Amer Fort complex on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.

Jaigarh Fort: is one of the few military structures of medieval India. It contains palaces, gardens, reservoirs, temples etc.

Nahargarh Fort: is perched on a hill and offers some the Nahargarh Fort offers a breathtaking view of the city below. Sawai Jain Singh built it in 1734 A.D.

City Palace

The City Palace is a striking combination of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art and architecture and houses several royal structures. The Diwan -e-Khas, or the Hall of Private Audience are the most beautiful scenes.
