The Rajwada Palace is located in the old part of the city near the Khajuri Bazaar. This impressive seven storied mansion is a must visit place. It is a rich amalgamation of French, Mughal and Maratha style that blends in perfect synchronization without seeming jarring even for a moment. Age old heirlooms, furniture, four poster beds, and chandeliers, was placed in the whole length and breathe of the palace. However most of it were burned in the conflagration of 1984. The main gateway itself is worth noticing with its huge iron clasp and archways. The upper floors are constructed of wood while the lower three floors are made of stone.
