Vinay Vilas or City Palace is the superb blend of Mughal and Rajput type of architecture.
Maharaja Bakhtawer Singh built it in 1793. It has checkered central courtyard with canopied balconies. There is little chamber having miniature painting covered with glass.
Now it is the office of city collectorate and government offices but still it is worth visiting.
Moosi Maharani Ki Chattri is very popular tourist destination of Alwar. It is situated outside the City Palace. It is built by the Vijay Singh, which is beautifully ornamented and built in honor of Bakhtawer Singh and his queen Rani Moosi as she immolated herself on the pyre of her husband.
Vijay Mandir Palace built by the Maharaja Jai Singh. This fort in Alwar is very elegant. This palace has a beautiful garden surrounding it and a calm lake in his foreground. It has 105 beautifully done up rooms. It also house elegant Sita Ram temple. To visit Vijay Mandir Palace prior permission of Maharaja of Alwar is needed.
