In fact, this fort can be entered by means of three gateways. They are named Phuta Darwaza, Lakshmi Pol and Gagudi ki Phatak. However, most parts of these imposing gateways are in ruins at present. During its heydays, this fort was celebrated for its tunnels that crisscrossed the entire hillside. These tunnels served a lot during the time of war. The king and his deputies could flee in case they felt a looming danger to their lives from their enemies. It is, however, unfortunate that no maps showing the actual paths of these tunnels are available at present.
