The Chittaur Fort is one of the hot spot of the tourist. Located on a cliff it bears testimony of the siege of Chittorgarh for three times by Alauddin Khilji, Bhahadur Shah and Akbar. History of Meera Temple:
Meera Bai the Rajput princess was an ardent devotee of Krishna. It is said that she was saved from poisoning because Krishna drank the poison herself as a resultant effect his whole body turned blue. It was built during the reign of Rana Kumbha who patronized the building of Hindu temples.

Description of Meera Temple:
Outside the Meera Temple in Chittorgarh there is a carved statue of five human bodies and one head. It signifies tolerance and that all caste and creed ultimately is the same. The temple lies in the same premises of the Kumbha Shyam. It is built in an Indo Aryan style. The temple lies close to the Fateh Prakash Palace. The Rajputs were followers of Hinduism and to that effect they built many a temples. Most of these temples were seiged during the times of Rana Pratap by Alauddin Khilji and again by Akbar at the end of 16th century. However this is one temple which escaped the hammer of the barbarians.
