Located in the Sirohi district, Mount Abu was a summer resort for the Chauhans and later for the English who had taken it on a lease from the Maharaja to brace themselves from the heat of the summer months as well as to appoint it as the headquarters for Rajasthan and a sanatorium for the troops.
