 Legend:
According to Hindu mythology, the gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak from the Swarg or heaven. Goddess Gayatri is the consort of Lord Brahma and is said to have stood by him while he performed the yajna at Pushkar. Goddess Gayatri was said to have been an untouchable. Legend says that to purify her she was put into the mouth of a cow and taken out from the other end.
