The Kala Gaura Bhairav Temple is one of the famous and unique temples, where tantrik practices are still continued. It is known as "tantrik kriyas". This place is considered sacred and holy by all the worshippers. They believe that whatever you pray or wish in this temple, they come true. The temple is located in a convenient place, which was built by wedging hillocks. The place is visited by number of tourists all round the year.

The temple originally belonged to the Bhairav brothers. They were known as Kala Bhairav and Gaura Bhairav. The idols of both the brothers are found inside the temple. In fact, both the brothers are worshipped by thousand ofdevotees. As per the legend, when Alauddin Khilji attacked Ranthambore, the king Hammir made a wish. He promised to give away with all that he had if he won the battle. The king did manage to win the battle but he was beheaded after he won the battle. The exact reason behind it was not known. It is heard that due to some confusion regarding his win, he was beheaded.
