Sravasti is an important destination in the Lotus Path Tourism in India. It is located 34 kilometers from Balrampur and 134 kilometers from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Maheth :-
This the 400 acres o excavation land which consists parts of the original city in all its glory. Artifacts found here tell of the reigning prosperity of the original town in days of yore.
Temple 2 and Temple 3 :-
Temple 2 is the site of perfumed chamber of Gandha Kuti. It was supposed to have been built by Ananthapindika. Today the only remains of this vast chamber are the stone plinth and the low walls. Temple 3 was regarded as the Kosambi Kuti and was constructed by Ananthapindika.
Sobhanath temple is believed to be the birth place of the Jain prophet Swambhunatha. This is one of the important pilgrim points for the Jains.
Saheth :- This is the site of Jetavana monastery. It consists of many shrines, stupas and relics sprawling over 32 acres of land. A colossal statue of Lord Buddha was found here. One of the stupas in this excavation site contains early relics of the Buddha.
Ananda Bodhi Tree :- This tree is located near the entrance of the Jetavana Garden in Sravasti. It was planned here during Buddha's absence in Sravasti.
