Detailed Itinerary
Best time: Mid June / July / August / September
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival assistance and transfer to Hotel for overnight.
Day 02 : Delhi
Morning combined city sightseeing Old and New Delhi covering Jama Masjid - The largest mosque in Asia, Red Fort (closed on Monday) -The red stone magic, Gandhi memorial-The memoir of father of the nation. Sightseeing India Gate - The memorial of martyrs, Parliament House - The govt. head quarters, Humayun Tomb and Qutab Minar. Overnight hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi/Leh (3520 M)
Early morning transfer to domestic airport to connect flight to Leh. On arrival at Leh airport transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to get used to the rarefied air of Ladakh Evening walk in the market overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Leh
After breakfast am sightseeing Shankar Gompa, Shanti Stup & Tsemo Castle (Victory Tower) with local English speaking monastery guide, Pm local visit in the markets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Leh Sightseeing
After breakfast drive toward Hemis around 45 km from Leh, En route visit Shey, & Thiksey monasteries Shey was the old capital and the home of the kings of Ladakh before the new capital became established in Leh the palace sits in a strategic position on a spur jutting out into the Indus valley. Thiksey, this large Gompa is an impressive sight, situated on top of a craggy hill while the rest of the complex sprawls down beneath it Overnight stay
Day 06 : Leh - Hemis - Martselang - Sang Sumdo (3750m): 2-3 hrs trek
After breakfast drive toward Hemis around 35 km from Leh, On arrival at Hemis visit the richest monasteries in this valley. After drive to Martselang & trek to Sang Sumdo around 2-3 hrs pitch the tent near by the village & rest of the time explore the village.
Day 07 : Sang Sumdo - BC of Kongmaru-la (Churkirmo) (11,200 ft/3,400 m) 5 hrs. Trek :
An easy ascends mainly along the true left bank of the Martselang chu to where it broadens into the valley of the Indus at the village of Martselang. En route explore the local village & wild animals. Chukirmo is the place where you can find the sulpher water. On the opposite side we pitch the tent for overnight.
Day 08 : BC of Kongmaru - la (Chukirmo) - Kongmaru-La (5120M) - Nimaling (4880 M) : 6 hrs trek
After crossing narrow gorges, we start our ascension towards the Kongmaru La. From the pass, there are great views north towards eastern Korakoram and China, whilst the southern view is dominated by the shapely Kang Yatze (6400m) and the Ladakhi range. We take a ridge trail and descend zigzagging across scare. Afterwards, the path meets the Nimaling summer pastures, used by Hankar and Markha shepherds.
Day 09 : Nimaling
Full day local visit on the fine meadowland on the base of Kengyatse (6130m) Overnight at camp.
Day 10 : Nimaling - Hankar (4000m): 5 hrs Trek
We steadily descend through meadows to Thachutse and cross the Nimaling River. The trail follows the Markha River now, and will do so for the next few days.

Places Covered : Markha – Skiu- Shingo - Gandla - Rumbak - Stok La - Stok BC - Manikarmo Stok Village - Leh - Delhi
Day 11 : Hankar - Markha (3850m) : 5 hrs Trek
Several monasteries and ruins are scattered along the trail to Markha. After Umlung the valley narrows and becomes a gorge just before Markha. This large village has a fort and a monastery perched on the northern hill. The gompa is reputed to be one of the oldest in Ladakh.
Day 12 : Markha - Skiu (3450m) 6 hrs Trek
The trail passes through quite lush riverside vegetation. En route, we come across more derelict monasteries, some well maintained shortens and at least one good example of a wolf trap. Wolves become a nuisance during the winter as hunger forces them into the villages.
Day 13 : Skiu/ Shingo (4150m)/Over Gandla (4920m)/Base of Gandla (3930M) 7-8 hrs trek
We criss-cross the Markha River and cross it on bridges set at many of the most difficult crossing places. From a tiny group of stupas, we leave the valley and continue upwards along a river bounded by willows and wild rosebushes.
Day 14 : BC Gandla /Rumbak (3750m) 7 hrs Trek
At the pass, colorful prayer flags flap in the wind, with the Zanskari range in the background. Afterwards, we descend steadily along the Jingchan River. We get great views towards the Stock summit and the Stock Kangri (6121m).
Day 15 : Rumbak - Stok La (4900m) - Stok BC (4200m) 07 hrs Trek
Ascending from the Rumbak village till the Stok La (4900m) the pass, we enjoy excellent views towards the Indus valley. Eventually, we reach Stock la; take the right way to go to BC of Stok la. On arrival pitch the tent for 03 days. Overnight at tent.
Day 16-18 : Climbing
Day 19 : Manikarmo Stok Village/ Drive to Leh
After break trek to Stok village, en route visit the Stok Museum & drive to Leh. Overnight at hotel.< P>
Day 20 : Leh/ Delhi
On time assistance and transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi9. On arrival assistance and transfer to Hotel. On time assistance and transfer to Hotel . Evening assistance and transfer to airport for onward destinations.
Day 21 : Depart-Delhi
