Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 :Cochin
Today upon arrival at Cochin Airport/ railway station, you would be met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel. Check-into the Hotel. Day free for sight seeing in Cochin. The main sight seeing places are Fort Cochin, with its European heritage, its air of genteel decay, and stubborn self-absorption is a place where history, like a friendly phantom, still stalks the lonely streets, the Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis’ Church, built in the early 16th century. It is the pride of Fort Cochin. The most enduring impression of Fort Cochin is the enigma of the Chinese fishing nets. The Dutch palace at Mattancherry was actually built by the Portuguese and presented to the Cochin ruler Vira Kerala Varma in 1555 as an act of expiation for the plunder and desecration of a temple near the Raja’s palace by a hot-headed young Portuguese officer. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 02 : Cochin - Munnar
Today you will take drive to Munnar (4 ½ hrs). Upon arrival check into the hotel and rest of the day is free for you. Munnar is a small hill station set amongst the Kannan Devan hills. It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates. The quiet environs of Munnar attract the traveler to relax in the lap of Mother Nature. Munnar also beacons the adventure-seeking traveler, who is interested in paragliding. It has some of the highest tea estates in the world. Overnight stay.

Day 03: Munnar
Day free for sight seeing in Munnar. The main sight seeing spots are Anaimudi (2,695 m), the highest peak in southern India, can be viewed from Munnar. The Christ Church is an important place to visit in Munnar. Built of stone, it was constructed by the British in 1910. This church is known for its stain glass windows. The Evarikulam National Park is 16 km from Munnar. This national park is the home of elephants, lion-tailed macaque, and the Nilgiri tahr (a rare mountain goat). Travelers can also explore the Rajamala Hills adjoining the national

park, en route to Top Station; one can visit the Madupetty Dam. This is a popular picnic spot and travelers can indulge in activities like boating and horse riding here. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 04: Munnar-Thekkady (Periyar)
Today you will drive to Periyar (4 hrs.). Arrival and check into hotel. Periyar (also known as Thekkady) is a park where one can witness playful pachyderms, whose population is currently around 800. The population of tigers is also increasing appreciably. Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. There are some tribal villages around Periyar, which are worth a visit. The tribal people still engaged in the traditional practice of collecting honey of dangerous hill bees. They have built interesting tree dwellings.. In the evening enjoy boat ride at Lake (optional). Overnight at hotel

Day 05: Thekkady - Kumarakom
Today you will take drive to Kumarakom (4 hrs.), upon arrival check into the backwater resort. Get Set for the moments that will approach you today with a boat ride into the countryside, you will visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. If you are adventurous enough, you can indulge in water sports such as windsailing & water skiing. You can even take a canoe out into the quiet lakes. Overnight at the resort.

Day 06: Kumarakom
Today you would check into the Houseboat for Kumarakom-Allepey overnight cruise. Backwaters are one of the unique attractions of Kerala, a chain of canals extending about 1500 k.m, with a network of 44 rivers, lagoons and lakes. Most of it is naturally formed. Here we have combined Backwater along with Canals made for continuous traffic of men and materials. Relax in back water. Overnight stay in Houseboat.

Day 07: Allepey
Upon arrival at Allepey, Check-into the backwater resort. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the resort.

Day 08: Allepey - Kovalam
Upon arrival at Allepey, drive to Kovalam, on arrival check into hotel and after that enjoy day in the sand. Kovalam is a natural bay ideal for kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. One can swim in the shallow blue water and have a sunbath in the exotic tropical sun can adorn you with a good suntan. The coast is at many places lined with beautiful patches of coral reefs. Or you can crest the waves on logs of lashed woods on catamarans. At your choice from any of the centers nearby, you can pamper yourself with an herbal, body- toning massage (optional). Overnight to be spent at hotel near the beach

Day 09: Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam
After refreshing yourself at the beaches, next morning next morning you will go to Cape Camorin. The Kumari Amman or the Kanyakumari Temple, Sri Padaparai, where the footprints of the virgin goddess are said to be imprinted on this rock, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Memorial. - In the evening drive back to Kovalam & spend your night with your high - reaching memories at the hotel

Day 10: Kovalam - Trivandrum
Morning city tour of Trivandrum, A must on every tourist itinerary, the Padmanabhaswami temple with its gopuram (tower) soaring majestically upwards, is believed to be one of the 108 shrines sacred to the Vaishnavites in India. Within its hallowed precincts, the main pavilion impresses with its 400 beautifully carved pillars of granite. Besides this magnificent temple, Thiruvananthapuram offers a great deal more. Followed by departure transfer to catch flight to your destination.
